We met at the University of Hawaii back in

February 2018. I just started my masters program and was looking for a meeting on campus that 

ended up not happening. I was standing

outside the room when Shiloh walked by. He

introduced himself as Shiloh, 'not shy-not low' and

asked if I wanted to join him and his friends in the

next building over. I did, and we quickly became friends. (That first night he asked me if I like candy bars- I was like heck yeah I do! So afterwards he took me to the store and bought me my favorites) As time went by, I got to see his desire to live for the Lord, bring people together, and his genuine love and kindness towards everyone. 

Flash forward to the beginning of October, we both went on a retreat to the west-side of Oahu with the Navigators (our campus ministry). In his

 words- "the loving, silly, adventurous, kind, thoughtful qualities of her character, passions, humor, and so much more were all of a sudden made so clear to me and I knew she was my life partner."

He proposed on October 27th 2018- and I said YES!
